Health & Safety
PSS Scaffolding Ltd take all aspects of Health & Safety seriously. We provide Risk Assessments & Method Statements and will, if required, carry out regular checks of scaffolding, sign your scaffolding register, we operate a TAG System and also supply hand over certificates.
It is our policy not only to comply with health and safety measures but to act positively where we can to prevent injury, damage, loss and injury arising.
We, together with our outside Health & Safety Advisors regularly advise our clients and employees on Health & Safety issues, extended training, also giving regular toolbox talks to keep both our clients and employees updated. Our men are issued with our Health and Work Safe advice document. Copies of this document are offered to our clients for their information.
P.S.S. Scaffolding Ltd
Formally known as Porthcawl Scaffolding Services, was formed in 1983. The company was started by Roger Brown, and became a Partnership between Roger & Steven Brown in 1995 it later became a Limited Company in November 2002. Our aim has always been to provide a first class service, which is reliable, competitive, and fully complies with all the requirements of Health and Safety, together with all good working practice.
We cater for projects both large and small from domestic work through to industrial developments.
Based in Port Talbot, South Wales we can offer our services, including project design drawings if required, to a wide area of the United Kingdom, Channel Islands and Ireland.
Our experience is spread over 48 years in the construction industry, working many of those years in management for both national and P.S.S. Scaffolding Ltd. It includes working and management on the following: - MOD properties, many large Construction Sites, Power stations, Gas terminals, Steel works, Chemical/Petrol plants, Tin and Coal mines, Office blocks, Nursing homes, repair and maintenance of industrial factories. Even a helicopter pad on the Wolf Rock lighthouse in the Atlantic Ocean.
For the past 25 years we have carried out contracts for national and large building companies within in the construction industry, Local Authorities and Chemical/Petrol plants

P.S.S. Scaffolding Ltd are certified BS EN ISO 9001:2000 quality registration 4011942. We are full members of the National Access Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) and “Investors in People” accreditation. We are also members of the Federation of Small Business.
The directors are accredited to accessing Operations & Rigging level I, II & III
Training
100% of our operatives hold CISRS/CSCS cards.
PSS Scaffolding Ltd place great importance in training and in conjunction with the C.I.T.B. we run a full apprenticeship-training scheme, PSS Scaffolding Ltd is committed to providing the training necessary for employees to improve their skills and ability and also to provide the industry and ourselves with the best possible trained labour force for the future.
In addition to scaffolding skills our employees undergo training in various skills including:
